Diana Ramsay

President

In 2018, Diana formed The Ramsay Group because she felt her executive experience and network, along with her passion for leadership, could serve the needs of organizations more effectively than typical executive search firms do. As owner and President of the Ramsay Group, Diana plays an integral role in all the ways we help our clients, from executive search to coaching.    

Her executive and board experience is deep and wide. Her areas of practice include behavioral health, human services, substance abuse, family services, global conservation and animal welfare.

She has served as Interim CEO at Wordsworth Academy; President & CEO of Woods, a large human services organization, during a period of significant growth and diversification; head of clinical systems’ integration and design for the Johns Hopkins Health System. 

She also spent twelve years with the Sheppard Pratt Health System, one of the nation’s top ten psychiatric hospital health systems, rising from President & CEO of Way Station, a nationally recognized community rehabilitation program and a subsidiary of Sheppard Pratt, to become  Executive Vice President/COO of Sheppard Pratt. 

Diana started her career as a lobbyist on Capitol Hill, advocating for solutions to mental health and disability issues.

Diana leads and has served on numerous significant national boards including: the Board of the American Occupational Therapy Foundation; The National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy; The National Aquarium, chairing its Governance and Nominations Committee; and her current appointments on the Philadelphia Zoo Board and the Broad Street Ministry board chairing the development committee.

She is also the former President of the National Association of Psychiatric Health Systems, where she led their strategic planning. 

In 2016, Diana received the American Occupational Therapy Foundation’s Meritorious Service Award for Distinguished Service. In 2015, she was presented the Smart CEO Award for Top Philadelphia Women CEOs, and in 2013 she was chosen for the Philadelphia Zoo’s Emerging Conservation Leader Award.

Diana has a BS in Occupational Therapy and a Masters in Public Policy from the University of Maryland, where she graduated at the top of her class in International Security Policy and was awarded the John J. Sexton fellow in Social Policy.

Diana’s personal interests include philanthropy, animal welfare and wildlife conservation. She is passionate about parrot and wild bird rescue, and together with her husband has rescued many parrots that they’ve cared for in their home.
